A Look Inside Condor Agates, Featured Program for May 21st Meeting, 7:00 pm

Our main speaker for the Tuesday, May 21, 2024 program meeting will be Luis de los Santos. He will talk about his discovery and naming of Condor agates in 1993 (Wikipedia), his collecting trips to Argentina and the area where those gorgeous agates formed. Condor agates are colorful, tightly banded agates and patterned agates found in the mountains near San Rafael, in Mendoza Province, Argentina. This agate has become a popular stone among collectors and jewelry designers.
